"My Favorite Things" TW 1, Day 1
For my first post of Theme Week (TW from here on out), and following the theme "My Favorite Things", I present to you...
This is a very special little box. Charly and Brad had taken Cammy to an antique store, and he picked this out for me...so in a way, it is from all of my boys. I love it...there are tickets on it...one from the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, one from the Royal Palast in Berlin dated 7.7.67, as well as other tickets. There's also a leaf on the back...it is out of place with the tickets, faded more than anything else, but I love it. And on the inside (and the main reason it's so special)...
This used to sit on my nightstand. My sweet Cammy would hide his "treasures" in there...a cool rock he found, a green guitar pick Uncle Charly gave him, a charm from a necklace of mine that broke, his favorite Jones soda caps, fortunes from cookies, the marble from Brad's old labyrinth, a piece of the cup I made him that broke, an egg shaped marble from our trip to Indiana...little things. I have added the necklace that holds some of his ashes. I never imagined that the box on my nightstand would mean so much...it is one of my greatest treasures.
